Many businesses don’t need giant gargantuan website hubs that carry large amounts of information, much of which is not vital to the sales process. In fact, some businesses opt to launch one-page designs. What’s a one-page website design, you ask? Just what it sounds like. One page websites are single pages with all of the information visitors need to learn about your business or even and take the next steps to convert to your next customer.

The problem with a one-page website design is that, simply put, it’s one page.  There is not a lot of information you can adequately layout on a single page. So, obviously, these kinds of websites are not appropriate for all businesses. But for some they are like magic when it comes to conversion. Here are a few reasons you might want to consider a one-page website design when you launch your brand online:

  1. They Offer User-Friendly Design: One-page websites are great for conversion because they offer an easily digestible format for customers or clients looking to find the information they need for your business or event. And that’s because…(you guessed it), it’s all on one page. Sectioned out in organized blocks, one page websites offer a succinct path to find all of the information one needs to learn about your business, product/service or event. Keeping your information in a tidy, compact format is one of the best ways of keeping your website user-friendly and creating a good user-experience, and good user-experience is one of the best precursors to conversion.
  • They Offer Quick Load Times: Because there is a limited amount of content you can layout in a single page website, the load times you have with these kinds of sites are typically much smaller than your standard website. Because of quick load times, one-page sites often avoid the bounce rates that their larger competitors offer. These sites provide for fewer retreats back to Google Search because of slowly loading images or graphics.
  • They Offer a Cost-Effective Business Website Solution: Because of the limited amount of digital architecture necessary to build a one-page website, there is an obvious benefit in terms of cost for the site build. Designing a single page will limit the amount of work and creative design necessary to complete the project. On that page, you have all of the content neatly laid out, the number of graphic elements will be limited and the functionality necessary to make your site work will likely be limited to a contact form.  This all adds up to a smaller web design budget.
